My name is Carol Quesinberry, and I am also known as Hulakai Quesinberry, founder & creator of Ho’olu, where “leaving you at ease and with comfort in your heart is my purpose and offering humble, heart-centered service to all creation is my promise”. 

I am a certified Reiki Master Teacher, a  White Flame Energy Practitioner, a Yoga Instructor, a Yoga Nidra Guide, and a Sound Alchemist using the purest tones of Crystal Tones® Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls®. 

I am blessed to be divinely supported by heavenly and earthly beings of light and guided by multiple lineages of well and healed ancestors who assist me in walking this Earth in a safe and right direction, with love and compassion for all life.

In reflection, my personal journey into the world of energy healing began unexpectedly during the late 1960ʻs. In my twenties, I was guided to a counseling opportunity and when I was asked “how are you” as we were settling in to talk, I responded with “I am fine except for a headache”. Next, this intuitive woman said “that energy needs to be moved so we will first begin by helping you “center your energy”. 

She invited me to sit in a straight-back chair and then she placed one hand on my forehead and the other above my heart, pausing, moving her hand placements, pausing & eventually settling her palms on the tops of my feet. After about 15-20 minutes I felt totally relaxed and my headache was gone. I continued to learn techniques from her to work with my own energy although I was totally unaware at the time of how this would integrate into my life and then transform it.

Eventually, I found myself offering healing touch to others if I noticed someone experiencing physical discomfort, pain, or nausea, and was in need of relief. I never questioned “how/why” it worked. I just learned to witness the results, wanting to help, feeling if I could, I should.  

Decades later, healing touch was an integral part of my husband's long journey with illness and disability, and as he learned to discern when it might help turn around a challenging day or situation, he became comfortable in asking and open to receiving.  

I first learned of Reiki in 2014 and of course, it resonated, but that is not to say I fully understood it at that time. After my husband crossed the rainbow bridge in 2015, I personally experienced receiving Reiki for the first time.  

It was during this period of great personal loss and grief that Reiki transported me, to my complete amazement, to a level of inner peace I did not deem possible. No matter that on the surface my existence seemed contradictory, when I surrendered to the deeper realms, suddenly it did not. Instead, there was a sense of calm and complete alignment with mind, body, and spirit and I KNEW my life had once again been transformed by another mystical holistic experience.  

As I continue to navigate my life thru the Cycle of the Crone, preferring to think of it as the Wise Woman years, it made sense that I’d found my way to a yoga studio, setting an intention to learn how to take better care of myself.  

It is said, “when the student is ready, the teacher appears” and that was true for me. A Yoga Teacher Training path appeared, followed by all levels of Reiki I to Reiki Master Teacher that began to appear in just the right order, at just the right time, and intertwined with it all was an introduction to Sound Healing. 

I am in deep gratitude to have learned from teachers who nurtured and believed in me and whose teachings of their honored lineages changed me from the inside out. Many people today are experiencing a spiritual awakening and want to “ascend” to a higher dimension when they may not have yet mastered the energy of “grounding” here on Earth. Both are possible.
